On a rainy day I kept my timed ticket entrance to the NYBG. The sky broke into sunshine at 11 am and I found the image and angle I wanted to paint en plein air. I worked for several hours, overhearing conversations of horticulturists, and having a photographer take my picture with a telephoto lens from across the way. I love this painting I did. It has plants, architecture, sky and wonderful colors.
