Leimomi

Painted during the Maui Plein Air Invitational. One evening at the Maui event is designated a sunset paint-out. All the invited artists gather and paint the landscape or a model. Quite a few of us chose to paint the lovely Leimomi. This is my first painting of her and it rolled off the brush so fast that I grabbed a previously painted canvas, turned it on its side and painted her again. Another artist, Debra Hughes was painting all of the painters painting the model, and I was in a sweet spot in her composition. Pulling out wasn't an option. Plus, I was glad to get two shots at such a terrific model. Debra did a sweet painting which sold to a fellow artist.
