Stillness

This was a plein air oil painting I did after the first snow fall here in Princeton, New Jersey. I was inspired but the great stillness and quiet I felt as I hiked into the woods alone with my pochade box. During this tumultuous year I found it important that I go out and plein air paint in nature, keeping myself grounded in reality and the beauty I see around me.
