Atwater Playground

This small study was done in situ en plein air on November 28th, 2020 in one session. The playground at Atwater Park near lake Michigan in Shorewood, Wisconsin had so many interesting shapes with the play structure, and I wanted to see how I could suggest these forms with paint. As I worked, I listened to the sounds of children playing and interacting with the environment as they came and left.

I am currently a student at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in May of 2021.
