An April Morning

It was no ordinary April this 2020. This is my first plein air during lockdown. Again using my backyard trees as inspiration, the blossoming dogwood in particular, I set up out on the patio and painted my isolation blues and fears away. It set me in motion and I have continued throughout the pandemic painting more outside than in! It made me realize how fortunate I am to be a painter and how grateful I am to have the views I do during this horrible year.
