Dog Fountain, Mount Vernon, Ohio

Newly constructed fountain in downtown Mount Vernon. There are only two of its kind, one in the USA, Mount Vernon, Ohio and one in Ontario, Canada. People paid a sponsorship of $20,000. to honor their dogs in the construction of the fountain. It is quickly becoming a destination for visitors. The energy and the joy the fountain brings motivated me to paint this scene. A major challenge was deciding what human figures to included, but the two boys drove my focus and attention.
