Fishing Dinghies at Calella de Palafrugell, Spain 

Painted on-site, en plein air on the Costa Brava, Spain We painted at this spot for days. Early on in the trip, we discovered a covered walkway that was just beside the beach. The beach was lively with people and boats. I selected this scene to paint because the colorful boats were arranged so perfectly on the beach - they even had their lines stretched out on the sand. (a great compositional element).  My memories of being there in that moment watching the Spanish sunlight was spectacular.
