This painting represents a corner of the Majorelle Garden in Marrakech, Morocco. This blue building in the background is a house built by the French architect Majorelle who was a leading figure in the development of Modern Style at the beginning of the 20th century. This summer house was acquired by Yves Saint Laurent the French fashion designer . Now this a is a marvellous place full of exotic plants and carrying a distinctive oriental charm.
