Frosted Rock Wall

Even though I live where I can find and paint spectacular vistas, I still sometimes love to capture a zoomed-in view of the landscape, where I can especially focus on finding some visual excitement with light-and-shadow contrasts, textures, and dramatic compositions, more so than the particulars of the location. I also enjoy that this type of composition and subject matter provide a more intimate depiction of the landscape, which can often be more relatable to a wide variety of viewers.
