Tallulah Gorge

This painting, oil on linen, was begun on location to get the effect of the depth of the gorge. Several return trips and studio sessions with photos were required over time to complete this painting. A man approached me as I was painting and said the painting made his legs hurt just like looking over the brink. I took it as a compliment.
