Return of the Hollyhocks

Painted in my mother's flower garden. She'd grown these hollyhocks for over a decade and then they died out several years ago. This spring she was late weeding the flower bed and so noticed a well established hollyhock seedling amongst the weeds. She left it undisturbed and it grew into these blossoms.
