Alaskan Boat

Oil on Gessoboard. During the trip of a lifetime to Seward, Alaska, husband and I went for a kayak trip and this tired little boat was perched along the side of the boat ramp. I just had to paint it even though landscapes are not
generally what I paint. I was particularly drawn to the pretty lavender color of the underside of this boat and could imagine many fun hours with friends fishing in the chilly Alaskan bay!
