Jade

"Jade" is a mixed media charcoal and oil paint on gessoed paper. She was painted in one sitting while she posed. I wanted to capture the elegance of her pose while also showing energy through active marks on the paper, to show the essence of her posture and provide a strong, graphic statement of a seated figure leaning away.
