Miles Away

There is a studio in Coeur dAlene ID, owned by Terry Lee, who for over 30 years, has had model sessions for other artists to come and paint or draw from. This one day however, I had a friend of mine, Meredith, come and pose for Terry and me, and this is the capture I was blessed with! It is on linen, which heavily influenced the final mood and color. As in landscape paintings that are created "en plein air"...no idea what French term could be used, when a figure is painted from LIFE, and not photographic reference! Guess it really is not important!
