Superstition Mountain

This paintiing was created in a park overlooking Superstition Mountain just outside Scottsdale, Arizona. The rich reds of the rocks and the faded greens of the underbrush inspired me to try to put brush to canvas and try to catch the essence of that brilliant light dancing off those red rocks. The sky was such a brilliant blue and made for an amazing day savoring the Arizona sunshine.
